All about Festivals
Festivals are special occasions in which the pack gets together to celebrate. There are many different festivals, some come once a month while others take a whole year to come around. All of the festivals the pack currently celebrates are listed below.
Spirit Awakening - It is always a great moment when graduating from apprenticeship to a greater rank. It means all the hard work has finally paid off. But the most thrilling thing about this day is not only taking a leap forward by ranking, but also receiving a totem animal. This can only happen beneath the light of a full moon, as Aningan, the spirit of the moon, is commonly associated with gifting wolves their totems.
Blood Moon - When the full moon shines red as blood against the black sky, it is a mark of one's destiny. It means a special wolf has been recognized by the great spirits and thus will be rewarded a special totem. Not everyone makes it to this stage in life, so the moment must be treasured. The chosen wolf will receive a second spirit mark of one of the three celestial entities, sun, moon, or star. From that point on the wolf is to be greatly respected by all pack mates, even those who may hold a higher ranking.
Festival of bonds - When two wolves fall in love, they can decide to bond. This is a lot like what humans call a marriage. This always happens during the day time, when skies are clear, as Adlartok, the spirit of the sun, is commonly associated with bonding. During this festival, the two bonding wolves receive a scar behind their ear. This is usually done by either the shaman or someone with a royal position. This scar is supposed to bring the two luck and a happy relationship for the years to come.
